MatchVeda is an Indian matrimony and shaadi platform that helps adults and families discover verified marriage alliances through profiles, preferences, mutual-interest introductions, and secure in-platform communication. MatchVeda is a matchmaking service only. We do not guarantee marriage, engagement, or any particular outcome.
You must be at least 18 years of age (21 for male profiles) and legally competent to enter a binding contract under Indian law. You must be genuinely seeking a matrimonial alliance and not use the Platform for casual dating, commercial solicitation, or unlawful purposes. If you create a profile for a family member, you represent that you have their knowledge and consent and that all information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@matchveda.in if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require email verification, photo verification, or additional checks before granting full access to features.
You agree that profile information — including biodata, photos, education, profession, family details, and partner preferences — is truthful and not misleading. You must not impersonate another person, use another person's photos without permission, or misstate material facts such as marital status, age, or identity. We may remove, reject, or request correction of content that violates these Terms or harms platform integrity.
You agree to use MatchVeda respectfully and lawfully. You must not: harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against other members; post obscene, defamatory, or hateful content; scrape or automate access to the Platform without permission; attempt to bypass security or privacy controls; use the Platform for fraud, money requests, pyramid schemes, or unauthorised commercial activity; upload malware or interfere with Platform operations; or collect other members' contact details for spam or off-platform solicitation.
Profile photos and verification submissions must belong to you (or the profile subject) and meet our community standards. Verification selfies and identity documents are used only for authenticity checks and are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We may use automated and manual review to approve or reject photos. We are not obligated to publish any submitted content.
MatchVeda is designed for introductions based on mutual interest and respectful communication. Messaging features should be used for genuine matrimonial conversations. You are solely responsible for the content you send. We may monitor or review communications where necessary to investigate reports, enforce these Terms, or comply with law, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules. By using MatchVeda, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy and understand your rights as a Data Principal, including rights of access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal, nomination, and consent withdrawal as described therein.
MatchVeda may offer free registration and complimentary access to certain features, including promotional access for verified members as described on the Platform. We may introduce, modify, or discontinue features, plans, or promotional offers at any time. Any paid features, if introduced, will be described clearly before you are charged. Taxes and third-party payment terms may apply to paid services.
The Platform, including its design, branding, software, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by MatchVeda or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Platform for personal matrimonial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Platform except as permitted by law.
The Platform may include links to third-party websites, including our blog and support resources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
We may suspend or terminate your account, remove content, or restrict features if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Platform, created risk for other members, or if required by law. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions — will continue to apply.
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not verify every statement made by members and are not responsible for the conduct, identity, or representations of any member on or off the Platform. You are responsible for your own due diligence before proceeding with meetings, calls, or marriage discussions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MatchVeda and its operators, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or matrimonial opportunities arising from your use of the Platform. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to MatchVeda in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) INR 5,000, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MatchVeda from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your profile content, your interactions with other members, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer protection laws, courts in India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform. Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@matchveda.in so we can try to resolve the matter in good faith.
For complaints relating to personal data processing, platform conduct, or member disputes, contact support@matchveda.in. Data-related grievances will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the DPDP Act, with responses targeted within 90 days where applicable. We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Platform or by email. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to any additional consent required for personal data processing.
